Evening in Sikles

  • Today’s trek takes you from Sikles to Hugu, with approximately 5–6 hours of walking for a regular-paced trekker. If you prefer a slower pace, allow around 8 hours for the hike.
  • The trail passes through beautiful and less-explored landscapes. If you take an alternative route through Tasa, you can enjoy a different hiking experience and discover even more of the natural beauty of the area.
  • Along the way, you’ll see traditional water mills (pani ghatta), local farming communities, lush green hills, and countless waterfalls created by the monsoon rains. The people here are mainly engaged in farming and are known for their warm, simple, and happy way of life.
  • Since you’re travelling during the monsoon, you may also get to enjoy seasonal local fruits such as kafal and aiselu, along with fresh, locally produced organic food.

It’s a day filled with nature, local culture, village life, waterfalls, and an authentic Himalayan trekking experience.

  • After breakfast, start a 1.5-hour hike to Kapuche Lake. The trail is beautiful, with green forests, mountains, and waterfalls along the way.
  • Kapuche Lake is at around 2,450 meters and is known as one of the lowest-elevation glacier lakes in Nepal. The lake is formed by melting ice from the Annapurna region and lies inside the Annapurna Conservation Area.
  • After enjoying the lake, hike back and continue towards Nuta, where you will spend the night.

Kapuche is still a less-known trekking destination, which makes it a perfect hidden gem for those who want to enjoy nature away from crowded tourist trails.

Sometimes, the hidden places are the most beautiful.

  • Today, we continue our hike from Hugu to Nutha. Along the way, you will pass through beautiful trails, fresh mountain streams, and natural surroundings.
  • As you move towards Naula Kharka, the trail becomes steeper, so take your time and walk carefully. Keep going forward through the peaceful mountain landscape until you reach Nutha, at an altitude of around 3,050 meters.

For those who cannot continue directly to Kori, Nutha is a great place to stop and spend the night camping under the mountains.

From Nutha, you can enjoy beautiful views of Lamjung Himal, Manaslu Himal, Annapurna II, Sikles Peak, and Machhapuchhre (Fishtail).

  • Start your trek to Kori early in the morning. After about 45 minutes of walking, you will reach Tandre Danda, a beautiful hill covered with flowers. During the rainy season, you will see flowers everywhere—flowers all along the trail.
  • After around 3 hours of trekking, you can enjoy beautiful 360° Himalayan views from this area.
  • Continue towards Redbull Danda, at around 3,330 meters. From here, the mountain views become even more beautiful.
  • After a few more hours of walking, you will finally reach Kori.

Finally, after 6 days of trekking, you will reach Kori—surrounded by flowers, green hills, and beautiful Himalayan views.

  • Today is a day to enjoy Kori and its beautiful surroundings. Kori is located at around 3,850 meters and offers amazing views of the mountains.
  • Take your time to explore the different viewpoints around Kori, located in the Kaski region. From the viewpoints, you can enjoy wide and beautiful views of the Himalayan range.
  • The Kori Trail is also known as the Tony Hagan Walking Trail, making it a special route for nature and trekking lovers.

Take a walk, enjoy the fresh mountain air, and capture the beautiful views of the Himalayas.
